We arrived late around 8pm during a really wet and gloomy Wednesday and were welcomed to some of the best service and hospitality I have had in a long time. There were 2 in our party and we order Jerk Chicken with Rice and Peas and Fried Fish with rice and peas. Let me tell you this Jerk Chicken was amazing! There's a lot of heat which should be expected when eating Jerk. It was moist and flavourful throughout. The fried fish was excellent as well crispy outside but glistening and moist on the inside. Both dishes fell away from the bone. Each meal comes with a large portion of rice a cole slaw a pasta salad and 3 fried plantains and a portion of sauce that mixed into my rice. The owner operator was friendly kind provided excellent service and wouldnt allow me to tip him so I promised I would return. If you're looking for authentic Afro-Caribbean cuisine head here, you wont be disappointed!

Do not sleep on this place! The owners were exceptionally nice and accommodating to our intolerances. We enjoyed the fish and plantains. The star of the show may have been their coleslaw! Flavourful with a kick!

I keep Cuisine Tropicale on rotation. They are so delicious and I highly recommend it. I recently had the Rice and beans with Jerk Chicken. It is spicy and flavourful.

On a Sunday evening we were looking for a place to eat #CuisineTropicale was open and a lucky find. we were more than delighted with this small diner offering Afro Caribbean and African dishes. My husband enjoyed the combination plate of jerk chicken with a side of spicy jollof rice, fried plantain , pasta salad and piquant coleslaw. I enjoyed the fried pork (Griyo) with djondjon rice and the same sides. The coleslaw was a surprisingly spicy salad but very tasty. For beverages we enjoyed Old Jamaican Ginger Beer. A nice accompaniment to the fun exciting dinner. Would be glad to eat at Cuisine Tropicale again.

Absolutely delicious! We got the griyo and jollof rice, jerk chicken and djon djon rice, and a soup for delivery. Great price for the portions you get! The food is spicy but not very spicy and it's so flavourful. The meat is so tender too. So happy I tried this place. Will definitely order again and dine in-person!

My wife and I went here one evening shortly before they closed. I've never had Haitian cuisine before, but it's Caribbean cuisine and there's no such thing as Caribbean cuisine that isn't exploding with flavour. My wife had the fried fish with rice and beans and I had the fried beef with djondjon rice. Both were excellent. Generous portions. The beef and rice came with fried flsntain fritters (best way to describe them), macaroni salad and a lovely spicy coleslaw (similar to coleslaw) as well as a gravy/sauce. I got a Vita Malt Ginger, as it pairs very well with Caribbean cuisine's spices. The rice was outstanding and I strongly recommend it to those who like rice with a legume such as peas, lentils or beans. Very flavourful, as was the beef, especially including the sauce. My wife got the fried fish and rice and beans. It's a whole fish, head to tail. I tried some and I'm not huge on fish, but I'd order this any day. It was excellent, as were the rice and beans. Her dinner also included the fried plantain fritters and macaroni salad. Overall an excellent meal and with the price, considering the portions and what you get. We ordered from them via Skip and it appears that the Skip driver made a mistake because we only got half of our order which is unfortunate because the food here is addictively tasty, as Caribbean food tends to be. We did receive the fried chicken and rice and beans. Excellent. It's batter-fried, but the batter isn't overly heavy or greasy. Rather it's quite nice and this a dish I'd order again. I was craving some djondjon rice though! They have a small menu, which I see as a good thing. For me, it means that what they do, they do really well and it gave me the impression that these are family recipes, which if this is the case, makes things that much better. Some of the best global cuisine restaurants I've been to had small, but very good menus. I can think of a South Sudanese restaurant back home on Windsor that had 4-5 menu items. It didn't matter what you got, it was always a win. I suspect that it's no different here. Atmosphere was simple, but you're here for the food! Who cares about atmosphere as long as the food is good?! Service was very friendly. We'd come in 30 minutes before closing and didn't feel like we were being rushed (we weren't). We wanted to be courteous as well. Overall, if you're looking for food packed with flavour and something like you've never had before and love global cuisine, give them a try! You won't be disappointed. Make sure to get a malt beverage, ginger ale or mango juice. They all pair beautifully with the lovely warm spices used in the dishes!
